MLB Previews June 30: deGrom Returns, Brewers Roll, and the Dodgers Keep Winning

OddsShift · Jun 30, 2026

The headliner tonight is Jacob deGrom vs. Tanner Bibee in Cleveland. The Rangers (43-42) are right on the playoff bubble, and this is exactly the kind of start they need deGrom to deliver. Cleveland (44-41) is no soft touch at home, and Bibee has been one of the more reliable arms in the AL. This is a genuine pitching duel worth watching — and one that should keep run totals honest.

Milwaukee (-) hosting Cincinnati is one of the cleaner fades on the board tonight. The Brewers (51-31) are the best team in the National League by record, and Brandon Sproat gets the ball against a Reds team sitting at 39-44 with Rhett Lowder on the mound. Cincinnati has been grinding but not winning. Milwaukee at home is a problem for most clubs right now, and the Reds are not an exception.

Los Angeles Dodgers (55-30) continue their road trip in Oakland against Jeffrey Springs and the Athletics (40-45). Justin Wrobleski gets the start for LA. The Dodgers own the best record in baseball and are not showing signs of slowing. Springs has had his moments, but this is a steep ask against that lineup.

A few other things to monitor: Eury Pérez takes the mound for the Marlins against Colorado, which is a favorable matchup on paper if he is healthy and sharp. Tampa Bay (48-33) sends Griffin Jax to Kansas City against a Royals squad that has fallen to 35-50 — the Rays have been one of the better stories in the AL this season.

The White Sox (44-39) at Baltimore is quietly interesting. Chicago has been better than most expected, and a road game against a fading Orioles team (39-47) with Erick Fedde could be worth a look depending on the number.
